I consider Provence one of Europe's most enchanting regions — that sun-drenched corner of southern France where hilltop villages cling to limestone ridges, lavender fields stretch to the horizon, and every meal feels like a celebration.

I always route my clients through the Luberon valley — Gordes, Roussillon, Ménerbes are some of the most picturesque villages in France, each perched above terraced vineyards and fragrant garrigue. And I love sending people to the markets in Apt and L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue for local cheeses, olives, honey, and produce you won't find anywhere else.

For a wilder side of Provence, I recommend the Camargue wetlands — flamingos, white horses, vast salt flats stretching toward the sea. And to the east, the Verdon Gorge is, in my opinion, one of Europe's finest natural spectacles, plunging into turquoise water.

I design my Provence trips around slow travel: private wine tastings in family-run domaines, early-morning truffle markets, candlelit dinners in converted farmhouses, and long afternoons with nothing to do but read in the shade of a plane tree.
