I love routing clients along Highway 1, where the cliffs of Big Sur drop straight into the Pacific and every turn reveals another impossible view. It's one of the great drives in the world, and I always build in time to stop — at McWay Falls, at Nepenthe, at whichever overlook catches the light that day.

Up north, Napa and Sonoma give my clients a completely different California — rolling vineyard hills, world-class tasting rooms, and long lunches under the trees. I send people who want something quieter and more soulful to the redwood groves further north, where sequoias older than the country itself rise straight into the fog.

Down south, I love pairing the energy of Los Angeles or the polish of Santa Barbara with a slower few days in Joshua Tree or Palm Springs — desert light, mid-century architecture, and a stillness that contrasts beautifully with the coast.
